A Built-In to Replace a Chimney

This built-in replaced a chimney that was no longer used. How nice to use that empty space instead of drywall-ing over it!

High Definition Counter Top and Tile Back Splash

This project was a simple update of a kitchen. This was done by replacing the off-white existing laminate counter tops with a Wilsonart High Definition laminate. Wilsonart's High Def. is made to look like stone counter tops at about 1/3 the cost. The second step of this project was to install a Mohawk tile back splash. Notice the counter top's custom beveled edges, "clipped" corners and how the bull-nose tile was used to finish the back splash.

2010 Home Show

This was the display that we brought to the 2010 Home and Garden Show. The woodwork piece is a kitchenette for a basement with a built in oven. We also brought a small sample of wood flooring, tile, carpet, and counter-top samples.

Hardwood Staircase, Hardwood Flooring, and Slate Tile Entry

This flooring was "real" oak hardwood; 3/4" thick, medium grade, red oak. Educate yourself about "real hardwood". Often times what you see on TV is laminate or engineered wood flooring, but it is called hardwood. Each type of flooring has different benefits so learn what is best for your situation and life-style.

The staircase treads and risers were also covered in hardwood. The entry was tiled in slate.
